The gathering, which took place over the course of a few days, provided opportunities for members of the descendant community to connect with one another and with Jesuits through a private vigil on Monday night, to offer comments during the events, visit to Georgetown’s archives, view a performance by Georgetown’s Black Movements Dance Theater, and tour the former plantation sites in Maryland.
